They created a Gallardo that is even lighter, even faster, even more extreme than the standard Gallardo Coupe. With the use of lightweight carbon fiber throughout, replacing the heavy rear glass engine cover, and removing the full power adjustment of the seats, Lamborghini was able to make the Superleggera a more track-ready Gallardo. It is louder, more stiffly sprung, and runs through the gears quicker and harder that its predecessor. This is the Gallardo for the weekend warrior who wants to take it to the track or carve up the twisties in the nearest rural area. Exterior enhancements include the carbon fiber mirrors, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear deck lid along with the Superleggera decal running down the side of the vehicle and the optional larger carbon fiber rear wing. The interior is dressed up with the full carbon fiber treatment and Alcantara covered seat and dash surfaces. Lamborghini understood that some would still want creature comforts so air conditioning is standard equipment and the multimedia system with navigation, CD changer, and Bluetooth is optional. Other options included on this example are the carbon ceramic brakes, upgraded interior carbon fiber package, rear view camera, coming home function, steering wheel in perforated leather, anti-theft system, and Superleggera floor mats (which have the same dot pattern that runs through the seats and the headliner). The Superleggera is equipped with the e-gear paddle shift transmission as standard equipment from the factory.
