Vehicle Description

This car was made by the Phillips Motor Car Corporation, at their factory in Pompano Beach, Florida. This is not a kit car. The inspiration came from the 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540k. The company announced in 1979 than no more than 500 Berlina cars will be manufactured. Fewer than 90 were built between 1980-1981. The cars all started with a 5.7 liter 350 V-8 Chevy Corvettes engines, which had their frames stretched 22 and their bodies replaced with the styled Berlina Coupe body. In the 80's, they cost around $80,000 new.
