It had a pump rig in place of the bed with a hose which was used to pump water from a nearby pond to fill their fire trucks. It was never used as an active fire fighting vehicle, so it got minimal use leaving the original engine and transmission in almost perfect shape...It's never needed any mechanical rebuild! A new bed box was added just before it got a Brand New Shiny Paint Job!!! These GMC's were uncommon with the combonation of an Automatic Transmission & 4-Wheel Drive, making this a Very Rare Find!
