1968 FJ 40 Toyota Land Cruiser For Sale in Spokane, Washington 99203 Beautiful condition 1968 FJ 40 Toyota Landcruiser for sale. Original Toyota 3.9L 6 cylinder engine. Starts and runs great. Manual 3 speed transmission with column shifter on the floor. Runs smooth up to about 60 mph on the freeway. Let me say I am not a motor head, but I had the local Toyota dealership give it a thorough inspection when I bought it in 2012 and all they could find it needed was a new alternator, voltage regulator, and transmission mounts, which I had replaced. Does not burn oil, though I have noticed a small spot on my garage floor every now and then. Dealership said it was nothing serious, just what you would expect for a car of this age. Very clean vehicle inside and out. Interior roll cage. Frame and all body panels are rust free except for some minor surface spots. Interior is in great condition with 3 person bench seat up front and a single sideways facing fold down jump seat in the rear behind the passenger seat. Floor panels are solid with a few spots of surface rust but nothing serious. Upholstery and headliner is clean with no rips or tears and I don't believe vehicle has ever been smoked in. Seats are adjustable and there is a secure tool/storage box under the driver's seat. Seat belts are installed throughout. Original dash except for an after market 3 gauge panel mounted below dash near glove box. Original fuel gauge works fine, but oil pressure, temperature, and alternator gauge do not so after market panel was installed, which works fine. Heater, lights, turn signals, wipers, and all other accessories work fine, this thing even has a working windshield fluid sprayer which was one of the first ever installed on any vehicle. Odometer reads 113,600 but it is stuck on that reading. The tenth of a mile dial will roll, but the mile reading never changes. I say this in the interest of full disclosure. The dealership that checked it out said the rest of the vehicle was consistent with mileage of 110-120,000, but I can't confirm the exact number. Odometer was like this when I bought it and I have never touched it. Body is clean with no dents or major dings other than a few surface scratches here and there. I have never taken the vehicle off road. Paint is ok with some surface scratches. It looks like the previous owner had the car painted a flat black, which looks cool but was not applied uniformly in every spot. You have to look close to see what I'm talking about on the body, but there is some paint peeling on the front bumper and running boards. Diamond plate on front fenders, running boards, and rear quarter panels. Glass is clean, no cracks or chips. Windows and doors work fine. Previous owner applied some caulk where roof meets upper drip edge, not sure why they did that but it is there. New 15 inch BF Goodrich beefy all terrain tires on nice wheels. Interior rear view mirror but there are no exterior mirrors on the doors. Big oversized bumper up front with plenty of room to attach a winch, shovels, or whatever. Comes with original hard top installed along with tan colored soft top with tan doors and a black bimini top. I never put these on but they are in great shape and should be easy to install.
