This is a very original and correct car that turns heads. I consider it to be “an older restoration or a well-maintained original.” The car is mechanically sound, is well sorted, and has no issues. I don’t hesitate to take it on long trips. It is distinctly better than a “Driver-Quality” car!! I am the 3rd owner of this 1964 Corvette Convertible, and I’ve owned it since 1991. During my 25-years of ownership, you could say I’ve performed a “Body-On Restoration.” Nearly all typical wear and age-deteriorating components have been renewed, as has most of the interior and exterior bright work. I had the instruments restored in 1993, and a new top professionally installed in 2012. Since the car was still very original, starting in 2007 I began prepping the car for NCRS Flight Judging. So, whenever possible, replacement parts were selected to match NCRS requirements. Since 1993, I have only driven the car about 36,000 miles. I have receipts to document all repairs. I have traced the car back to its original owner, so its history is well known. I have copies of Titles going back to 1978. The second owner had the car painted and renewed the interior; both of which are holding up well as can be seen in the photographs. This owner also renewed the rear wheel bearing and U-joints. The engine in the car is a period correct 1964 Flint-built 300HP 327. Its part numbers, casting numbers and dates match NCRS judging requirements. The car’s original intake manifold and carb are not currently on the engine, but will convey with the car. The engine was professionally overhauled in 2011 and now has about 9800 miles on it. FYI – the engine pad was not re-stamped after the overhaul. It is a 4-speed car, an original power steering car, and an original leather seat car. The only noteworthy non-stock items on the car are a dual circuit master cylinder, a Vette Brakes GT Handling package, an aftermarket exhaust, and the aforementioned engine intake. A set of Knock-Off wheels and the original steel wheels and hubcaps will convey with the car, as well as the original intake manifold, original AFB carb, the original steering wheel, the original anti-roll bar, a new set of door weather stripping and many other spares (offer dependent).
